StumbleUpon has been a highly utilized site for finding interesting content on the web based on previous and similar “likes” and categories for awhile now as a “recommendation engine” but recently they’ve also updated their video discovery options.
Stumblers can now rate and recommend videos from the content on Hulu, YouTube, CollegeHumor, Vimeo, MetaCafe and TED.
It has a slick interface that let’s you Stumble like a drunken sailor through sites in categories you select and add favorites, like or dislike, share on Facebook and Twitter, email to others, etc.
The thing I really like about StumbleUpon’s video recommendations is that it does a very nice job of using the recommendations of others interested in similar topics to serve up videos I might enjoy watching.
And, as a traffic generating tool for your video marketing, StumbleUpon squeezes some nice SEO juice with the added benefit of social sharing and viral possibilities.
Definitely worth checking out…
